The Information Technology Department with the City of Chilliwack, a growing and vibrant community of 100,580 located 100 kilometres east of Vancouver, is seeking a skilled individual to fill the position of IT Co-Op Student. | Educational Requirements: |
• Must be enrolled in the Co-operative Education Program at a recognized post-secondary institution and have met the specific entrance criteria for that program; |
|
| Skill Requirements: |
• Sound knowledge of English business communications;
• Able to perform assignments with minimal supervision;
• Good knowledge of modern office practices and procedures;
• Observing and complying with municipal policies and ensuring the safety and security of confidential material pertaining to the Department’s operation;
• Have working knowledge of computer operating systems, and software including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products;
• Creating, managing and closing helpdesk request tickets;
• Installation of hardware including computers, monitors, keyboards & mice;
• Office moves – moving PCs, monitors and desk phones;
• Cable management, tidying up cables;
• Driving to our remote facilities to support IT equipment with a valid Class 7N or 5 BC driver’s license.

| Salary: |
$30.71 per hour (2024 rate) |
|
| Additional Information: |
The work week is Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm and the hourly rate for this unionized position is $30.71/ hour.
