As the Business Relationship Specialist, you will create and execute initiatives to position Surrey as the premier location in Western Canada for business investment and innovation. Duties: Reporting to the Manager of Economic Development, your responsibilities will include: SURREY???S BUSINESS OUTREACH PROGRAM ??? Lead the execution of the City???s business outreach program and maintain a strong relationship with local businesses ??? Connect local businesses to government services and programs that help them to grow ??? Measure the impact and support continuous program improvement INVESTMENT ATTRACTION AND BUSINESS RELATIONS ??? Support the development of new business vibrancy programs across the City ??? Promote local investment opportunities, help identify commercial and industrial land opportunities, and support investor decision-making in Surrey ??? Facilitate new private sector partnerships and investment opportunities throughout the community ??? Manage legislative and administrative processes for Surrey???s Business Improvement Areas ??? Act as a liaison between the City and local Business Associations SECTOR DEVELOPMENT ??? Research, develop, and implement innovative sector-related programs and initiatives to attract, retain, and grow businesses ??? Support the execution of sector development programming and other initiatives as required STRATEGIC ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT ??? Analyze and evaluate economic and business development opportunities and identify strategies to develop these opportunities ??? Develop and expand relationships with potential investors and businesses looking to relocate to Surrey ???
