The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction and operation of the Asset Management Program at the City. This challenging role requires a high degree of independent action and confidentiality, excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a demanding and diverse environment. This position provides assistance to Council, committees of Council, the public and municipal departments. In addition, working closely with department managers to ensure that individual department asset management plans are practical and implementable for each service. Duties: Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position is responsible for developing asset management practices, policies and procedures, strategic objectives and performance indicators. This includes, establishing the current inventory of assets, assessing the relative health and condition of assets as well as exposure to risk, and incorporating asset inventory into the asset management strategy. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing business cases for proposed project assets, including cost benefit analysis, which may include demand, level of service, historical costs, etc. Educational Requirements: The qualifications required for this position include: ??? Bachelor???s degree in Finance, Business or related field ??? Project Management Professional (PMP) ??? Membership as a Professional Engineering (P.Eng) or a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) is an asset ??? Minimum 5 years of asset management experience, including 2 years supervisory experience ???
