Job Description: The District of Mission is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the Human Resources team as a part-time Administrative Assistant.

If you are a self-starter and able to manage complex priorities in a professional, efficient and timely manner in an environment with frequent interruptions and minimal supervision; you are adaptable and excel in an environment where teamwork is required to meet departmental and organizational goals, this opportunity may be right for you.
Duties: Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, you will perform a variety of complex administrative, research, coordination and customer service functions to support the Human Resources division. The successful candidate will assist with duties such as responding to internal and external inquiries in a professional manner, preparing confidential correspondence, managing and updating the internal and external websites, scheduling, filing, maintaining records, and liaising with other departments.
Educational Requirements: As the ideal candidate, you will have a high school graduation or equivalent, plus completion of a post-secondary certificate in Applied Business Technology or Administration or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You will also have a high level of proficiency in MS Office applications, and Adobe Acrobat, and have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a demanding, multitasking office environment, supplemented by a sound working knowledge of a Human Resources division.
Skill Requirements: The preferred candidate will have sound knowledge of principles and practices of administration, organization, planning, and records management. You must have the ability to ensure confidentiality, to establish and maintain effective working relationships, function as a team member, work calmly under pressure and manage multiple priorities to completion under tight deadlines. Your attention to detail will be crucial for your success in this role. You will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Salary: This position will be approximately three (3) days a week, and is excluded from the bargaining units and offers a wage rate commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
