Totally committed to client service delivery, our Human Resources Division is currently recruiting for regular part-time Human Resources Assistant to join to our team of professionals in the Human Resources Division.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, in this exempt position you will be a key member of our team and will be involved in a broad range of Human Resources functions. Front line support and customer service, providing administrative assistance and coordination of records management and file retention functions for the Division are key to this role. You will also assist with other human resource administrative functions related to employee records, recruitment and selection, employee orientation, training and benefits, although your primary role will be front line functions. Communicating with various internal and external contacts, the successful candidate will possess a high level of enthusiasm and energy.

This position will appeal to a fast paced, detail-oriented, independent and well-organized individual who has completion of Grade 12, supplemented by post-secondary courses/studies in human resources administration, combined with 2-3 years administrative support experience in a municipal Human Resources environment. Additionally, you are required to have excellent computer/word processing skills (Word and Excel), typing speed of 50 wpm, familiarity with HRIS and a sound knowledge of business English. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role. Superior customer service is vital in communicating with employees and external agencies.

A competitive salary commensurate with experience is available with this Exempt position. At this time, the days and hours of work are Tuesday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
