Our region covers more than 13,000 km2 stretching from the City of Abbotsford to Boston Bar. We have an exciting opportunity to work at our Recreation Centre located in Hope, BC. Duties: As a Summer Day Camp Assistant at the FVRD, a typical week could see you assisting the Summer Day Camp Leader with the implementation of fun themed weeks such as Got Milk?, Fish Tales, Rock n??? Roll and Shark Week just to name a few. There will be an outing each week that corresponds with the theme, and activities that tie into the weekly theme. During Mission Impossible week, your mission, should use choose to accept it is to help the kids complete tests of endurance at Wild Play Element Park; and during Shark Week, helping the kids have a fintastic time at the Vancouver Aquarium. It is anticipated that these positions will commence June 22, 2020 and end approximately September 4, 2020. Skill Requirements: Required qualifications: ??? Experience working or volunteering with school aged children is preferred; ??? Good communication and public relations skills, with the ability to use tact and courtesy in dealing with customers; ??? Standard First Aid & AED; ??? Must be at least 16 years of age; ??? Valid Driver???s License is preferred. Salary: The starting wage rate for this time-duration Union position is $13.85 per hour plus 10.6% in lieu of benefits. Upon successful completion of the required probationary period the wage rate will increase to $14.99 per hour plus 10.6% in lieu of benefits.
