Job Description: |
Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to utilize your exceptional cashiering and customer service skills? Our Finance Department is seeking a precise, industrious professional to join their team. |
|
Duties: |
Specifically, you will process all types of cash receipting and balancing of payments; process homeowner grants; balance a variety of financial records and ledgers; maintain the property master file tax records; calculate property tax and utility balances; and respond to a variety of customer inquiries among other duties. |
|
Educational Requirements: |
The ideal candidate must have high school graduation supplemented by completion of a recognized Certificate in an Accounting discipline, along with two years??? experience in a municipal finance office environment, including experience in accounts receivable and cash receipting functions, subsidiary ledgers, account reconciliation and analysis up to and including trial balance level. |

Skill Requirements: |
Along with your considerable knowledge of the principles, procedures, policies and regulations applicable to professional accounting practices, you must be self-motivated and task-orientated with advanced proficiency in MS Office, MAIS or similar financial software and have knowledge of EDP systems and procedures. |

Salary: |
The 2020 wage rate for this position is $33.46 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package. We also offer a nine-day fortnight schedule (extended hours for nine days and one day off every two weeks). |
