| Job Description: |
The City of Surrey???s Recreation Division aims to build healthy communities where all people are active and engaged. Our facilities are focused on ensuring visitors can enjoy our programs and services in a safe and comfortable environment. As part of that commitment, we???re looking for a full-time Building Service Worker to support the City???s Recreation Facilities.
The hours of work are a standard work week (Mon- Fri/morning hours) with the possibility for afternoon coverage dependant on operational requirements.
As a Building Service Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, and minor repairs in and around the City???s Recreation facilities. You are energetic, have familiarity and comfort with working alone and following safety protocol, strong attention to detail as well as good written communication and documentation skills.

| Duties: |
???Inspecting facilities for potential issues and addressing the issues by reporting them or correcting them.
???Providing building maintenance.
???Ensuring the security of the facility and its staff and visitors.
???Providing high quality janitorial work to multiple facilities.
???Ability to work independently and is self-motivated.
???Able to perform simple to moderately complex manual labour work in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
???Aptitude for basic maintenance and repairs.
???Perform simple to moderately complex manual labour work in both inside and outside conditions.

| Educational Requirements: |
???Completed Grade 12.
???A Building Service Worker (BSW) Certificate.
???At least one year experience doing cleaning and minor repairs in a large public facility.
???Basic computer knowledge.
???A valid BC Driver???s license.
