The City of Abbotsford???s Purchasing & Supply Services department is growing and we are looking for a seasoned professional to join our dynamic team. In this fast-paced and diverse role, you will be responsible for the procurement of a variety of goods, services, materials and equipment through quotations, and formal competitive processes. In this role you will also ensure vendor qualifications and monitor vendor performance.

As the successful candidate you will have proven senior level experience in facilitating complex procurement strategies, as well as carrying out purchases of materials and services that provide the City with the best value. Your strong communication and relationship management skills will allow you to liaise with and assist various departments and staff on matters related to procurement. Your organization and time management skills will assist you with prioritizing a busy workload and meeting tight deadlines.

As our ideal candidate you will have:
??? Degree in Supply Chain or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution,
??? A minimum of 5 years of related Supply Chain experience in a public environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience,
??? Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is considered an asset.

This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $37.03 to $43.54.
