The City of Abbotsford has an exciting full-time role for a Trades II - HVAC Technician. This challenging Journeyman level role involves the installation, maintenance and repair of building mechanical systems (e.g. heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, HVAC) in the City???s facilities.

As the successful candidate you will exercise independence of judgment and action as to the method of installation or repair upon receiving verbal or written assignments. You may be required to plan work flow to meet priorities and to assign and monitor the work of others.

As a HVAC Technician, you are an integral member of the Building Maintenance team and work under the general supervision of the HVAC Maintenance Supervisor.

Your technical experience along with your ability to prioritize, manage your time effectively and work with minimal supervision will make you an asset to the team.
As the ideal candidate you have:
??? Completion of Grade 12;
??? Current British Columbia Trades Qualification (HVAC);
??? Minimum of five (5) years??? experience in the trade, including direct digital control experience;
??? Valid Class 5 driver???s licence.

This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $30.13 to $35.42 per hour plus we offer a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
