The Training Assistant provides diversified clerical support for the activities and programs of the Human Resources Branch Training Section. This unionized position is temporary; duration is up to 12 months.
Duties: Key areas of responsibility:

??? Posts and manages activities related to external training events, courses and conferences
??? Coordinates records management system related to training for the Branch, including maintaining training files and documentation
??? Coordinates all scheduling, notifications, travel, and accommodation arrangements for training events for all staff
??? Prepares, maintains, and provides regular updates of the annual training budget
Educational Requirements: Candidates must have completed Grade 12, supplemented by coursework in adult education, training and development or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Candidates must also have a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in an administrative support role. Experience with computer based records management systems as well as with budgeting and cost management is also required.
Skill Requirements: The successful candidate is a self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to critically analyze information, problems and situations to identify relevant concerns and formulate logical solutions and objectives. You are a highly resourceful team player that can also be effective while working independently and has strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office is also a must.
