The City of Abbotsford currently has an exciting Temporary Full-time opportunity for a Fire Services Administrative Coordinator (Software) in the Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service Department.

As the a Fire Services Administrative Coordinator (Software) you will perform a variety of administrative and technical responsibilities by providing guidance and assistance to Fire Services on software, internet and intranet applications as well as general clerical services. Some of the duties include editing and maintaining department websites, database system maintenance and special projects as assigned.

You will possess comprehensive knowledge of relevant computer software applications, web based development languages for internet/intranet applications, graphic design and file management as well as ability to identify and resolve software application problems and research and recommend software solutions.

Your excellent communication skills including the ability to work effectively as a team member to promote positive, constructive working relationships in a customer-centered environment will assist in your success in the role.

As the ideal candidate you will have:

??? Completion of Grade 12;
??? Post-secondary certificate in computer technology or digital media arts from a recognized educational institution;
??? Two (2) years of experience working with advanced software features, enterprises software solutions and complex computer database applications.

This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $27.21 to $32.01 plus a percentage in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and health benefits.
