The City is located half an hour south of Vancouver on the shore of Semiahmoo Bay. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Manager, RCMP Support Services is responsible for the management and administration of Support Services for the White Rock RCMP Detachment. The position is accountable for providing strategic direction for all RCMP municipal sections which includes the management of municipal employees engaged in court services, victim services, community policing support, exhibits, guarding, and other operational support and general police clerical duties. The position is also responsible for managing and coordinating new projects, systems and procedures related to work process efficiency in the Detachment, as well as, preparing the support services budgets and monitoring expenditures. This role requires an appreciation of the operational and administrative culture of the RCMP and outstanding organizational, people management and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will possess an open, team-oriented leadership style and welcome the challenge of seeking continuous improvements in organizational efficiency. It is essential that you are able to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. As a successful candidate you will have successfully completed a diploma or degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related field, supplemented with a minimum 5 years??? progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience within a policing environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. In addition, you must have an enhanced RCMP clearance.
