The Utilities Operations Division of the Engineering and Regional Utilities Department is responsible for the construction, maintenance and operations of the City???s underground infrastructure including, but not limited to, Water Supply and Distribution, Wastewater Treatment and Collection, and Drainage, Dyking and Irrigation for the City and Regional Utilities.

We are seeking a key member of our Utility Operations leadership team for the position of Manager, Drainage and Utilities Support. Reporting to the Director, Utility Operations, the Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the drainage, dykes, irrigation and flood protection infrastructure throughout the City.

As the Manager, the scope of your role includes Drainage Infrastructure, Flood Control Infrastructure, Irrigation Infrastructure, Dykes, and other drainage infrastructures including sediment/soil traps, roadside and driveway culverts, and storm pipes and manholes. Your role will also provide operational support for the Water Supply and Distribution, and Wastewater Treatment and Collection utility divisions, by coordinating the implementation of new Operations, Corporate and Legislative initiatives.

Your success will be in your strong leadership with the ability to motivate, mentor, coach and lead a diverse team of operational and maintenance staff. As well as strong communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build credible and trusted relationships with your team and throughout the organization.

As the Manager, you will have:

??? Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Technology, or other related discipline.
??? Professional Designation as a P. Eng. or AScT.
??? Minimum of 5 years of progressive related experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
