Community Services Assistant 1 (Junior Leaders) are responsible for the design and implementation of Before and After Care Programs for children and youth, as well as fostering positive experiences for the children in our programs. Before and After Care Programs run in elementary schools or in our recreation facilities adjacent to the schools. Community Services Assistant 2 (Senior Leaders) are responsible for providing Before and After Care participants with an active, safe and stimulating environment to developing social skills and general well-being. They are responsible for the licensing paperwork, communication with staff and supervisors, staff mentorship, and great customer service skills. Skill Requirements: The Community Services Assistant 1: Junior Leaders will have: ??? Completed Grade 12; ??? Current Emergency First Aid and CPR certificates; ??? Previous experience working with children; ??? Experience working in a recreation setting; ??? The ability to swim and skate are an asset. The Community Services Assistant 2: Senior Leaders will have: ??? Completed Grade 12; ??? Current Emergency First Aid and CPR certificates; ??? Demonstrated effective leadership skills; ??? The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with program participants, volunteers, staff, and the public.
