The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a regular part-time Graphics Technician to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Administration Division; Corporate Communications and Events Department.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Administration, you will be responsible in this unionized position for contributing to the success of our department by developing leading-edge digital graphic designs for our internal customer departments for our public communications activities and campaigns. With a high volume of work, you will be responsible for the timely design and production of user-friendly, effective and appealing marketing, promotional, and communications materials, i.e. posters, flyers, brochures, newsletters, guides, postcards, signage, invitations, forms, and various other materials ??? for web, social media and print. Being a detail-oriented individual who is effective at both oral and written communication with team members, contractors, suppliers, and customers is ideal. Excellent customer service and collaborative team skills are essential to this role.

Your education will include a post-secondary diploma in graphic design, plus strong related work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You will have excellent efficiency in a PC environment with in using scanners, printers, and digital cameras, a proven track record which demonstrates your proficiency with Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite 5.0, Acrobat, and MS Office applications. LiveCycle would be an asset. It is essential you have a strong knowledge of design principles and expertise regarding colour, font, and file management. Strong photo editing and web design skills are assets.

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $27.75 - $32.63 per hour (5 steps; 2015 rates), plus benefits. The hours of work are Tuesday to Friday, 8:30am ??? 4:30pm.
