RESPONSIBILITIES ??? Contribute to the innovation and growth of our institution through your contribution to recommending, researching, developing, scheduling, implementing, and evaluating engagement initiatives; ??? Work in a collaborative environment with a wide range of City Staff, contract artists, speakers and designers; ??? Assist with grant writing and facility operations as it relates to your area of work; ??? Work with the following programs: o youth and young adult programs (Art Together and other pilot/new projects with mentoring artists, offsite art programs, youth digital art screening nights at UrbanScreen) o Secondary School Programs (tours and workshops in the Gallery, special projects with mentoring artists) o casual visitor initiatives (resources, tours, workshops) o TechLab engagement projects (exhibition-related, special projects) o events related to community-based exhibitions (artmaking with artists and art educators, talks, panels, receptions, parties) ??? Physical work including some heavy lifting. QUALIFICATIONS ??? Degree/diploma in the area of art museum education, art education, art history, curatorial studies, or a related field; ??? Two years progressively responsible experience in developing, administrating, and presenting initiatives in this area of specialty, including supervision; ??? Emergency First Aid with CPR Certification; ??? A Valid BC Driver???s License; ??? An equivalent acceptable combination of training and experience may be considered.
