As the successful candidate you will have the opportunity to perform lifeguarding and instructional activities, pool and equipment maintenance and assist the Aquatics Leader in implementing a variety of exciting aquatic programs. Your training and keen eye for detail will allow you to actively respond to emergency situations by performing rescue functions and provide assistance to patrons in difficulty. You will conduct regular inspections of rescue and emergency equipment, monitor pool chemistry as required and perform assigned janitorial and maintenance tasks as required. To be considered for this position you must have: ??? Red Cross Water Safety Instructor ??? National Lifeguard (Pool Option) ??? CPR Level C with AED This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $17.95 to $21.11 per hour (2015 rate).
