The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a temporary full-time (from approximately March 6, 2017 to approximately March 5, 2018) Community Policing Program Coordinator to join our team of professionals in the Protective Services - RCMP Division, Community Policing Section.

Reporting to the Operations Support Supervisor, you will be responsible in this unionized position for duties such as coordinating the delivery of programs, updating policies and procedures, implementing and maintaining systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of programs; organizing, scheduling and presenting training lectures, appreciation nights and other special events; preparing and maintaining non-complex records and files related to the work, maintaining inventory and supply of program material, operating RCMP software (PRIME, C.P.I.C. etc.) to retrieve information as required.

Your education will include completion grade 12 including or supplemented by related courses plus considerable related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You will have experience working with volunteers as well as have considerable knowledge of the objectives and procedures governing the assigned programs of Community Policing. Extensive computer and typing skills as well as interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role.

A valid BC Class 5 (full-privilege) driver???s license or equivalent driver???s license for where you reside is required. A current Driver???s Abstract (select the 5 years??? option if obtaining online) that has been obtained within 6 months of the closing date below must be uploaded with your application in order to be considered for this opportunity and in order for your application to be complete. RCMP reliability status is required. (Note - Not required as part of the application process, however will be required upon consideration for employment).

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $26.63 - $31.34 per hour (5 steps, 2015 rate) plus 12.4% in lieu of benefits. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00am ??? 4:00pm; non-standard hours and/or non-standard work weeks.
