Job Description: Reporting to the Sunnyside Campground Administrator, the Site Maintenance staff is primarily responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of sites, beach front, public areas, roadways, boulevards, and litter pick-up within Sunnyside Campground.
Duties: ??? Provide excellent customer service, which may include minor assistance to campers.
??? Operate and maintain equipment such as a line trimmer, blower, lawnmower, power washer, and other related maintenance equipment.
??? Collect and dispose of refuse and recycling.
??? Sort recycling daily and report full receptacles to the Campground Administrator to arrange for pick-up.
??? Clean and sanitize garbage and recycling receptacles.
??? Perform site maintenance, such as rake sites, clean fire pits and remove ash, check and report any irregularities with sewer caps and electrical covers, remove rope or nails from trees, remove refuse.
??? Check picnic tables for damage or safety hazards, and if necessary, replace the damaged table and submit a work order for the damaged or hazardous table to be repaired.
??? Perform ground maintenance to include line trimming, grass cutting, and clearing roadways of debris.
??? Perform beachfront maintenance, such as rake the beachfront, sweep wharves, and litter pick-up throughout the beachfront and green spaces.
??? Post notices as required.
??? Maintain inventory of firewood, and notify the Campground Administrator of low inventory levels.
??? Report any safety hazards immediately to the Campground Administrator.
??? Report any safety concerns immediately to Campground Administrator with regards to abnormalities with swimlines.
??? Perform minor maintenance such flipping breakers (in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures), and equipment maintenance.
??? Communicate via hand-held radios with campground staff, using prescribed radio etiquette.
??? Notify Campground Administrator and fellow workers of safety concerns and correct the situation if able. Notify Campground Administrator and fellow workers of safety concerns requiring more complex repairs.
??? Respond to routine enquiries and give assistance to user groups and campers.
??? Maintain the compound in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
??? Maintain records related to the duties of the position, maintain supply inventory and organization of supplies. Notify the Campground Administrator of low inventory levels.
??? Receive and reconcile product deliveries.
??? Report sites to gatehouse that have not departed at 11:00 am on the regularly scheduled departure date.
??? Report sites to the gatehouse that have violated campground bylaws with regards to damage or cleanliness of site at departure.
??? Report any bylaw infractions and/or inappropriate activity to a bylaw enforcement officer and the Campground Administrator.
??? Complete daily playground safety inspection forms and report deficiencies, damage, or hazards immediately to the Campground Administrator.
??? Write work orders for greens pick-up and ash bin maintenance.
??? Provide line control services to gatehouse staff when required.
??? Relocate picnic tables and fire rings as required.
??? Carry out pest control tasks as required, using appropriate methods and campground-supplied substances.
??? Complete work orders as required.
??? Maintain the security of the buildings by locking doors, gates and windows as required.
??? Participate in the development and delivery of training for new staff.
??? Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
??? Clean and maintain campground equipment on an ongoing basis.
??? Adhere to WorkSafe BC rules and regulations pertaining to the job requirements.
??? Recognize and rectify and/or report any potential safety hazards.
??? Remove leaves and other debris from sidewalks, paths, entrances, and exits.
??? Perform other related duties as required.
??? All persons employed with Cultus Lake Park are required to assist the Park in providing emergency services. Duties assigned during an emergency may differ from regular duties.
Educational Requirements: High-school diploma or equivalent.

Salary: $13.00 per hour
