| Job Description: |
At City of Surrey’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department, it takes a great deal of commitment, an outgoing positive attitude, a sense of fun and a whole lot of organizational ability to ‘fit’ in our recreation services team!

| Duties: |
In this position, the successful candidate will support the Arena Operations team in a front line supervisory capacity overseeing public skating sessions. The position also entails supervising staff, assisting in the planning, development and deployment of special events.
|
|
| Educational Requirements: |
Candidates must have completed grade 12 and some post secondary education from a recognized institution, supplemented by 2 years related experience including supervision in recreation work or area of specialty.
|
|
| Skill Requirements: |
The successful candidate will have high energy, enthusiastic approach to their work and enjoy the chance to be part of a team that values leadership and organizational talents. Essential skills include the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, a strong level of skating ability, a high level of customer service, and have a strong knowledge of skate sharpening skills and practices.
Candidates must have a current Emergency or Standard First Aid, and CPR C. Successful completion of a criminal record check and a Class 5 driver’s license will be required. |
