We are looking for an energetic, customer focused Human Resource professional for this 1-2 year term position of Employment Specialist. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources and working as a specialist in the area of recruitment and selection, you are an integral member of the Human Resources team. You are responsible for taking the lead on developing and executing detailed sourcing strategy’s for your client team, working in partnership with the hiring managers to ensure quality and value throughout the hiring process. To succeed in this position, you need a commitment to service, a focus on inclusion, a team-building approach to challenging situations, and the perseverance to deliver results.

You are a high energy, skilled recruitment specialist who has a strong knowledge of sourcing candidates through the usage of all of the latest sourcing tools, including Linkedin and social media channels. You will guide behavior-based selection interviewing at all levels. You are capable of thinking outside of the box and continuously look for new ways to do business.

Educational Requirements: You bring:
• Ideally, a degree/diploma with specialization in Human Resources or related studies
• 2-4 years recruitment experience with a demonstrated record of recruiting high quality talent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs,
• Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
• Experience recruiting in a unionized environment.
