Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of Corporate Services will lead a dedicated and highly motivated department that provides “internal services” such as Finance, Administration, Human Resources, Facility Management, and Information Technology. You will act as the Chief Financial Officer, Deputy Corporate Secretary, and the Head of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy for the Fraser Valley Regional District. Educational Requirements: The successful candidate will hold an accounting designation (CA, CGA or CMA). A designation as a Certified Municipal Clerk or a designated Associate (ACIS) or Fellow (FCIS) of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) will be an asset. Skill Requirements: The successful candidate will be a servant-leader, who exhibits high emotional quotient, good communication skills, and has the ability to lead a group of staff in a diverse and fast paced environment. In addition to these attributes, the candidate should understand organizational change, be decisive yet inclusive, be able to mentor staff, and have a “hands-on” work ethic.
