Job Description: As the Community Services Coordinator 2, you are responsible primarily for recreation facility operation and overall delivery of programs throughout the Community. The successful individual will be an integral member of a team who will be actively involved in providing recreation and community programs and services for preschool, children, youth, adult, and seniors.

The successful applicant must have a good understanding and knowledge of community recreation programs, their purpose and objectives. You have demonstrated initiative and have a positive attitude. Strong leadership, public relations and communication skills are vital in this role.

Work at this level is characterized by the significant scope and depth of supervisory and financial responsibilities, within a multi-functional and diversified recreational facility and the high profile of community service. Experience working with diverse populations in preschool, children, special events and community development is an asset.

The individual will possess exceptional leadership, customer service and communication skills and be committed to community development. Experience in staff supervision, budget preparation, administration and marketing is essential. Previous experience as a Community Recreation Coordinator, community outreach and partnership development experience, strong background in program design/implementation and creative target marketing skills are assets. Candidates must also be willing to work a variety of hours throughout the week.

The successful candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university or college level program in a related discipline and have 4 years of progressively responsible experience in the delivery of recreation services and/or community development. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Must have technical expertise applicable to the specific role.
