SAP Project Coordinator
We are currently offering an exciting opportunity in our Corporate Services Department, IT Division for a dynamic, self motivated professional with proven skills, energy and creativity.
Reporting to the Manager of SAP Sustainment, the SAP Project Coordinator is part of a small team which supports SAP for the City by ensuring that the system is available for users in all City departments. The SAP Project Coordinator also provides the business with project management, application consulting and business process re-engineering services related to SAP and IT.
Specific responsibilities include:
Service Delivery: Ensures functional availability of the City’s largest enterprise system, SAP, which supports critical services such as payroll/HR, Finance, Plant Maintenance and Financial and Management reporting. Ensures SAP functionality is working as designed by resolving operational issues and updating the system with regulatory changes.
Business Analysis: Carries out detailed analysis of systems functionality and business processes in areas requiring change or to resolve SAP system issues. Works with technical specialists to design, build and test functionality. Works with business users to establish processes, produce training material and delivers end user training.
Project Management: Plans activities and coordinates internal and external resources to deliver business and systems change to meet project scope, timelines and budgets.
Business Process Re-engineering: Highlights opportunities to use existing or new technology that benefits the City’s internal and/or external business processes as well as systems services. Collaborates with external peers and technology providers to exchange knowledge, explore technology and mutually beneficial opportunities.
Qualifications:
• 2 years of SAP functional experience – HR-Payroll and/or Finance
• 2 years of business analysis experience
• 2 years of IT project management experience
• University Degree
• Operational knowledge/experience of HR and/or Payroll would be an advantage
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good working knowledge of excel and workflow tools
