SUPPORT SPECIALIST TRAINEE
The Support Specialist Trainee works under direct supervision and follows defined procedures. This position provides help desk telephone and email support of users; desktop hardware, software and related equipment requests, upgrades, moves, changes, and troubleshooting and may also serve as a resource person to others in Information Technology.
The successful candidate will have effective communication skills both verbally and orally. Academic knowledge of computers and applications in an IT environment is required.
The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12 supplemented by one year successful Post-Secondary education in a directly related field.
This position requires the completion of a criminal record check.
