Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, you will be accountable for providing expertise, guidance and counsel to City Departments on Policy and Collective Agreement interpretation, Labour Relations, Employment, Performance Management, Compensation and Classification related matters. You will also be responsible for leading and delivering a range of HR initiatives and projects. You have a broad and progressive range of HR knowledge, supplemented with experience in Labour Relations, Recruitment and Project implementation. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years experience in a multi-union public sector environment along with related education (degree or diploma). Excellent knowledge and understanding of HR best practices and legislation is required in additional to a successful track record of respectfully interacting with diverse stakeholders to achieve positive and practical results. Key attributes include excellent communication skills, ability to deliver results, strategic thinking, strong team skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment..
