Job Description: Engineering Assistant 2 – Land Development

This is an intermediate technical and administrative position providing support and assistance to senior staff in administrative responsibilities, and performing moderately complex technical work related to land development activities.

Responsibilities include: defining servicing requirements for developments applications, reviewing engineering servicing drawings and preparing servicing agreements.

The successful completion of a two-year diploma in civil engineering technology is required supplemented by several years of civil engineering experience obtained in a municipal engineering environment either within a City Engineering Department, consulting engineering firm or related environment.

Applicants must possess the ability to communicate and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals and groups including the general public, internal municipal staff and elected officials and external private and government agencies.

A valid BC Driver’s License with a safe driving record is required.
